Shame makes one feel they are out of place in society; that he can be spotted by others for how damaged, messed up, or flawed, he is. If you feel ashamed of how life is going, embarrassed to openly admit how unhealthy you feel your family dynamics are, or how your romantic relationship is going, I’m here for you. It’s my firm belief that we all suffer in some type of shame at some point in our lives. Perhaps you have tried your minister or rabbi to no avail. Maybe you have shared your struggles with your friends and neighbors, but nothing helped.

I have over 20 years of experience working with families, individuals, and couples. I have extensive training in Bowenian Family Systems Therapy (www.thebowencenter.org) and Structural Family Therapy (www.minuchincenter.org). When working with the client, I consider the relationships within a family of origin, such as boundaries, etc.

I utilize humor frequently in therapy to help my clients feel comfortable in their sessions. My style is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I will self-disclose when appropriate from time to time. I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for my clients to focus on their feelings and work towards their goals in therapy.
